I LOVE chocolate. Let’s just stop at that because any more discussions about my sweet tooth will get this post going in a complete different direction. A couple years back we invested in a fondue pot. I think it was a great idea because it’s the easiest (and in a certain twisted way healthy too :))way to entertain friends- less work and more time to spend with the people you like :). I made a chocolate fondue and a cheese fondue. Here are the recipes –

Cheese fondue
Swiss cheese – 1/2 cup grated
Gruyere – 1/2 cup
Milk – 1/3 cup
Flour – 1 tbs
Butter – 1 tbs
Garlic – 4-5 cloves
Freshly cracked pepper.

Rub the insides of a fondue pot with some garlic. Melt butter in the pan and add the flour. Cook the flour till it loses it’s raw smell. Add crushed garlic, pepper and the grated cheeses. Keep mixing till the cheese melts and is smooth. Enjoy with bread, roasted Brussel sprouts and veggies.

Chocolate fondue

Milk – 1/2 cup
Semisweet chocolate chips – 1 cup
Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp( optional)

Mix chocolate chips, milk and cocoa powder in a double boiler( glass bowl over hot water. Bowl should not touch the water). Melt the chocolate chips and your fondue is ready! Enjoy with pound cake, fruits and marshmallows.
